Joe's family and friends just want to say a huge thank you to all the solo artists and bands who made submissions to be considered for the Joe Cassidy Chrysalis Award. It's been a huge privilege to have had the opportunity to listen to, appreciate, share and discuss so much incredible music from Northern Ireland. The sheer wealth of local talent has made arriving at a shortlist of 5 finalists a very tough challenge. We have really enjoyed an incredibly impressive amount of quality, original music, and we will continue to follow and listen to the work of a great many of you who made submissions. We strongly believe that the future is bright for Northern Irish music!
The winner of the Joe Cassidy Chrysalis Award award will be announced on Wednesday 15th November 2023, at the Northern Ireland Music Prize in Belfast.
